Samuji Collections

Prints by Antti Kalevi

Samuji Prints by Antti Kalevi collection salutes the beginning of a new decade in Samuji’s existence, with the ready-to-wear line turning 10 years old this year. The ambition remains - to produce sustainable and timeless design that serves a purpose yet carries a story.

Continuing Samuji’s tradition of producing in-house print fabrics, Prints by Antti Kalevi collection features five contemporary prints designed by the celebrated Finnish illustrator Antti Kalevi. In his work, Antti Kalevi aims to display things at their bare essence – while keeping the poetry. His illustrations often have a playful undertone to them, a sense of spontaneity that is emphasised by the bold use of colour and organic shapes.

In Samuji Prints by Antti Kalevi collection, the focus is put on the ease and relaxed feel of the silhouettes, giving centre stage to the vibrant presence of the prints. The colour palette of burnt orange, petrol and brisk pastels is enriched with splashes of bright pink, zesty yellow and sky blue. Forming the canvas are natural fibres – cotton, linen and silk.

Amongst the included styles are some of Samuji’s all-time favourite pieces such as Finch and Wandella Dresses, Alvar Coat, Leiko Trousers and the unisex shirt style Keith. Combined with the loose fit wrap coat styles Pahuku and Petit and the much-awaited swimwear pieces, the collection forms a com- plete wardrobe for transitioning to the spring - and a new era for Samuji.

Samuji Koti

Samuji Koti is a homeware collection launched in fall 2014. The word koti means home in Finnish. All items are crafted out of quality materials from European and Japanese suppliers and produced in Europe and Japan by carefully selected manufacturers.

Samuji Koti brings together traditional houseware from different regions, often made by local artisans. Amused by the culture and history behind these beautiful objects, we are eager to tell you the story of each one of them – and let it continue in your home.
