Samuji Small Vene Purse is an everyday classic that fits all of your small necessities. Made from a velvet fabric in Uninen print designed by Matti Pikkujämsä, the purse has a zipper fastening and is fully lined.
When designing the print, Pikkujämsä was inspired by one particular sleepless night he spent in Japan (uninen means sleepy in Finnish). While in Tokyo with his friend, Pikkujämsä bought an indigo coloured ink stone which he started trying out in a bar in Shibuya. He couldn’t sleep because of the jet lag and painted this print on a brown paper during the same night.
This item is made from a surplus fabric in order to extend the lifecycle of pre-existing materials and reduce textile waste.
